It really is. They can only make canned responses. There only analysis is who to they should insult by saying, Fuck _____."
Anyway, Mangione is making white-sumpremicist penpal friends.
Quote:Podcaster and Trump supporter Patrick Bet-David revealed on Monday he’s exchanged letters with someone he did not expect to hear from: Alleged murderer Luigi Mangione.
Quote:“This was written as if a kid went to Harvard or Yale — good writer, sense of humor, sarcasm, witty, even a riddle in there,” Bet-David said. “You can tell he’s very intellectual, deep meaning in the way he’s writing his stuff.”
Mangione actually went to a different Ivy League school — the University of Pennsylvania, following his graudation from his $42,000-per-year high school in Baltimore.
Quote:-David was surprised but not entirely shocked to hear from Mangione, because the alleged killer had mentioned the podcaster’s book “Your Next Five Moves” in a letter last year outlining 27 things he was grateful for.
https://www.mediamatters.org/jesse-watters/podcast-host-patrick-bet-david-provides-safe-space-guests-push-bigotry-and-conspiracy
Quote:Podcaster Patrick Bet-David provides a platform for far-right figures to promote conspiracy theories and bigotry, potentially to millions of people. Bet-David’s PBD Podcast has allowed guests to promote the white nationalist “great replacement” theory, claim that homosexuality is being pushed on children, and push conspiracy theories about mail-in ballot harvesting.
Quote:Bet-David has interviewed a variety of right-wing guests on his podcast, including Fox host Jesse Watters, alleged human trafficker Andrew Tate, and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, as well as celebrities not involved in politics.
Quote:Bet-David gave Andrew Tate, who has also been banned from YouTube, multiple long-form interviews on his channel, allowing Tate to push his claims of innocence after he was arrested on human trafficking charges in Romania
Quote:Bet-David complained that Christians are “too tolerant” of the LGBTQ community and said they are now “paying the price” for their perceived tolerance
Quote:Bet-David implied that the Texas Rangers won the World Series because they “didn’t cave to LGBTQ.”
But he's probably just facing social pressures and it's actually a systemic issue in prisons.

Aside from the killing the main character "twist" that's seemingly irrelevant to the show, his pitch is Lucifer. With Brexit and now Trump in the US, it just seems we never solved the multicultural angle in these places. That said I'm also aware of the history of white colonialism in these countries, that's a hard nut to crack.

Quote:Last week I met a woman. We're the same age and we're in the same profession. Honestly, from the moment I first saw her, I was already thinking about how I could introduce myself. Somehow it actually happened and we ended up meeting.
Our first conversation lasted about two hours and it went much better than I expected.
She's really intelligent and very fun to talk to. We also have very similar taste in TV shows. I recommended a few shows to her and asked for some recommendations from her as well. After about two hours she said she had to leave, and I told her I could walk her to the metro. She said it wasn't necessary, but I told her getting some fresh air would be good for me anyway.
While we were walking to the metro we were joking around and the atmosphere was really nice. Just as I was about to head back, I turned around one more time and looked at her again. I don't know if that was the right thing to do, but I was honestly really impressed by her.
We agreed to meet again in about 10 days. Normally I wouldn't wait that long, but I have an important exam in next week. Two days later I called her and we talked for more than an hour. I genuinely enjoy talking to her and I'd like to spend more time with her. Our plan for Friday is still on.
Now I have a few questions on my mind. I don't want to bring up topics like relationships or marriage this early, but I think she probably realized that I like her. The reason we initially met was actually to talk about possibly working on a project together. But we decided to drop that idea because she said her new job will be very busy and I probably wouldn't be able to find something suitable for her in the project. Even though the project idea is off the table, we're still meeting and talking.
I try not to make my feelings too obvious, but I think she might have noticed anyway.
So on Friday we're basically going on something like a date. It will probably be the first time we can sit somewhere comfortably and talk for a longer time. I'm wondering whether I should invite her for coffee or suggest dinner instead. I'm definitely planning to pay the bill. If she offers to split it, I was thinking about jokingly saying we can celebrate her first paycheck from her new job next time.
Another question I have: should I offer to pick her up and drop her off with my car, or would that be too much for a first date? I'd like to do it, but I also don't want to make her uncomfortable.
Do you think I should just focus on getting to know her better for now, or should I try to make my intentions clearer by asking questions about relationships and long-term goals? What kind of boundaries should the conversation have?
I know it's still very early to say anything serious, but I honestly like her a lot and I would like something to develop between us. I just want to make the right moves and not mess things up. Do you have any advice?
First of all asking Era for dating advice?!?!? You know he's going to fumble the ball.
9 hrs later
Quote:And my date has officially cancelled.
Didn't even get to touch the ball

I guess the update is better than what I expected which was, "This girl I really like has blocked me, i think I misunderstood her signals and thought it was a date."
