This is again the frustrating part of modern “diversity” and “representation” telling the same stories with a different race.

Friday was in part inspired by Clerks. But it is its own thing, with its own perspective and identity. Diversity in stories and characters and points of view. The method nowadays would make Clerks with non-white actors and call it a day. You have to appreciate what makes people unique.
