It's just wild to me: Iranian citizens were protesting and potentially on the verge of causing change within Iran. We are supposedly upset that they are killing thousands and thousands of people. So we bomb them, kill the Supreme leader, blow up a school killing 170 people, we blow up an oil depot causing black rain and toxic smoke...all this will surely cause Iranians to support us in this?

He knows he can't declare the war over because Iran is still firing missiles but he wants to make de-escalatory noises for the markets sake

But unless something dramatic happens the war is a strategic failure for the United States and Israel. The Iranian regime may come out of this with greater internal and regional control.
