I like the one worrying about how many people are going to get abused this week because of the article. Shame they didn't escalate to saying that people might die because of fear of asking for appropriate accommodations, etc.

This is generally the crux:

Except progressives aren't consistent about this anymore than most others, for people they like there's little they can do to be excluded, for people they don't a one-drop rule or even "you were at this guy's wedding" applies for exclusion from everything. I think one reason they seem so indifferent to authoritarian regimes (except for the Nazis) like China or older ones like the Soviets or socialism in general and how these are universally exclusionary by default for the entire population is the belief that they personally would run them in a more inclusionary manner for all. Even as you see how quickly they act to exclude people from even conversing with them on the slightest whim let alone for greater crimes like actively opposing them politically.

These are correct answers and get at why the typical "solutions" are always too broad and result in this:

It's like The Joker said, you can tell everybody that you're going to do something horrible and it's fine as long as it's "all part of the plan" but one little ol bpd woman can't get her wheelchair for her long COVID and everybody loses their minds!
