Game isn't nearly as scary and the story has no subtlety as you would expect from a Silent Hill game or good combat which it has a lot of. Still, it's good to see a Konami published game do well. It isn't a bad game. They need to keep going.

I think its more that the director said (and the game is about that) that its about patriarchy in the Japanese society.
I wonder, if the director wouldnt have said it, if Chuds would have noticed that, as they might not even play the game.
