I heard an old lady say "duh" earlier (in reference to herself, forgetting something)
I have this theory that even though "duh" was supposedly a 90s kid thing, all over TV shows and movies of the time, somehow it resonated more strongly with the boomers, who chuckled and adopted it en masse and still have not given it up
just something about the attitude of someone who would say duh appears to be fully within the realm of the boomer mentality, a slang term that arrived too late for its core audience
