The mugshot is not something that can be replicated IMO. All the indictments are in, and there likely won't be any major movement on any of those fronts until the trials which are all slated for post-Iowa 2024 iirc. In short Trump is kind of running out of attention grabbing moments. Can I imagine him doing a Hannity interview during the next republican debate? Sure. After that...I think he should debate. Vivek's performance made it clear that the media is doubling down on the format that helped Trump dominate last time. Does he risk taking damage on issues he's vulnerable on with conservatives (shut downs, Fauci, draining the swamp, the wall, etc)? Sure. But it's worth pointing out every republican primary voter in the country is already familiar with those things, yet the vast majority of them still support Trump.

If he's gonna lose support it's going to be due to him being embarrassed in a confrontation, but I don't see anyone on that stage who can do that to him. Christie would try. Would DeSantis? No. He should get serious and start preparing for the second or third debate.
