The rules literally mention you can get actioned for offsite actions and frankly people live in an alternate reality if they think their actions shouldn't have consequences just because they posted something on twitter or whatever.

To me, I treat forums/social media in the same breath as just making sure that you don't post anything that could be taken out of context by your bosses essentially. Don't use the same usernames to create easy paper trails either.

I'm not entirely sure what is going on, but not too uncommon for people to hate moderation of any kind whether it's on a forum or Discord.

Didn't see any of the posts while they were up but I have seen some what I assume they were of. In that I've seen some people on BlueSky venting about moderation practices here. I have a few thoughts about this whole situation.

On one hand, it's easy to view it as a telling sign that the relationship between several longterm members and the staff of Era is so bad that venting needs to be done off-site at all, and at least some of the posts I saw definitely felt like they were coming from a place of legitimate frustration and not feeling like they could express that properly on Era without retaliation. I think this situation is a symptom, not a cause, of the issue.

On the other hand, you kind of completely destroy any potential credibility your argument might have when you then come back here and start spamming/derailing threads with screenshots of "look what ____ said about you". Absolutely childish shit. Nobody over the age of 16 has any excuse for behaving like that. Posting "I can do this all day" gifs about it is also incredibly cringe. You're not leading a rebellion against an oppressive state, you're just ruining threads made by people who have nothing to do with what you're upset about. Come on. All this alt shit on Era is ridiculous to begin with.
