Ed Norton Jr. is famously pretty aggressive about re-writing his lines and wanting control over the writing, so it's unsurprising that approach fell flat with the Marvel Studios showrunners who were trying to craft a giant epic around multiple movies.
He's ALWAYS good. He never should have taken the contract, but then again no-one knowing his rep should have offered it.
I like Ruffalo as Banner, who has a homey, dopiness in his "genius" presentation that is a lovely counterpoint to RDJ's effete, sarcastic, competitive asshole approach.
