It's a dumpster fire of a problem, 60% of these students who come in Brampton don't even have a bedroom and the services there are taking a toll because there's no property / income taxes you can collect to improve the situation. People are racist but there has been an increase in crime and infighting in these communities because of the things happening in India. I know a case where a high school student threw a molotov at someone's house in Brampton because of Khalistan movement. These problems need to be cut down as soon as possible.

More people means Canada's GDP goes up, but the GDP per capita is stagnant or declining. We've created a race to the bottom where Canadian standards decrease over time and companies fight to maximize their share of what's left. I saw a post recently about how Canadian grocery prices are fine because a minimum wage worker can easily subsist on bulk purchases rice and beans. Aren't we supposed to be in the G7???

Infrastructure and services were already struggling before the record breaking population growth of the 2020s. We don't have a fundamentally strong economy to lean on and milk in the same way the USA does. I don't think we're in any position to scale these things based on an influx of low skill retail workers who are largely displacing former part time workers.

Canada is frankly cooked. Maybe we'll luck out with another world war to help reshuffle the economy.

If he wins I kinda lose faith in humanity and will probably withdraw a bit from what it might even mean to be a modern day member of any form of community.
