Are me being doxxed, harassed and sent death threats because I dared to make a TikTok talking badly about the IDF that Ethan happened to find during one of his stream enough? Is the dozens if not hundreds of people to whom the exact same happened enough?

I wonder how deranged the TikTok was that they're unwilling to post a link as evidence of Ethan's supposed bad behaviour. So many of the posts talk about the massive amounts of video evidence of Ethan defending the IDF but no-one posts any, and then when someone posts a link of Ethan calling IDF/Israel genocidal, it's never mentioned again.

I've got bad news everyone. Spider-Man: No Way Home isn't leaving Starz in March. So unless they will just have non-exclusivity next month (which for Starz is unlikely), no US Disney+ drop next month.

I think they loopholed the contract with that extended cut they got from Sony.

I hope I'm wrong and we see it on the D+ schedule next month. But be prepared for the chance it doesn't.

… I had a quarter of a thread getting mad at me because fucking dusk said something before Nate. It just kept fucking happening. I thought just having a Nate thread is more people would take it seriously would be ok. But the posts kept coming.

So I was like "oh I guess after the Leon reveal, people are cool with Dusk I guess." And I thought maybe, just saying a dlc was in the works with x character would have been harmless. I don't play RE, but I figured as long as it's saying a character and not any plot points it would be fine. Typically different character dlc without plot spoilers is fine. The google search said it was the mom who died in another game, but it seemed logical that they might want to take an opportunity to make something with the original character the new one is based on. As long as there's no further context, it's probably fine right?

And last time I took extra steps to not spoil a surprise (the Yakuza Kiwami 3 reveal) I got roasted for trying so hard not to spoil an "obvious surprise". And got roasted for contributing to spoiler phobia. And "marketing spoilers ". So surely, a related character to the main character wouldn't be that big a deal. Surely if there was an opportunity to do a flashback dlc with a character, this would make sense opportunity wise. Right? And people kept getting pissed at me that Dusk already said it. Surely Dusk is on better terms with everyone without looking further at the situation (I guess that's on me).

For the record, I did put in a lock request because I figured enough people were pissed that this thread wasn't worth it. I can't change titles on my own. And the admin head is in this thread I see. So at this point, you all talk to them.

I will take responsibility for not looking into Dusk further. That's on me. But like… everything else. At least understand why after getting roasted in MULTIPLE WAYS why I thought maybe even without the context of Dusk I thought "oh, as long as I don't put plot spoilers or anything in the title, this should be fine. It's not like I'm saying x plot point from RE9 story is being continued in dlc right?"

People just kept roasting me. I was getting fed up. I was like "fine, take this then. Maybe this will get you to shut up since you all listen to Dusk again."

No more Dusk threads. Got it. The message has been received loud and clear. And no more dlc threads no matter what. Got it. Message received.

I just wanted people to stop bugging me in the other thread. And we post about upcoming things before marketing all the time. And we weren't near a general Nintendo direct. Or Sony presentation. Or RE presentation. I thought we did this all the time.

Few things:
1) Hi, you don't know me. I post news on what's coming to major streaming services in OT. I regularly post news for films I don't care about because I like posting news that even one or two people care about. I did that for the 2021 Resident Evil movie. (Yes even to my surprise, a few people here wanted to see it) This is absolutely in character for me. I also posted a rating thread for Disney afternoon collection on Switch. I have no plans to get it. I like telling other people things they may be interested in.
2) I have no clue what makes it so it would be weird if you posted something Final Fantasy related.
3) I did a NateDrake thread about Code Veronica and that wasn't a problem. Which is technically an unannounced I thought maybe for a character who probably was a flashback/from what I could tell was related to the main character. I thought it wouldn't be an issue because back when I heavily spoiler tagged Kiwami 3's upcoming announcement, people roasted me for something obvious. I thought a flashback dlc for a character related to the main character fell in that category. I was clearly wrong. I won't make dlc threads anymore.

You know I'm kinda surprised with all the complaining about first person, where was this energy when PT was a thing? Everyone seems to have been enthralled by that teaser.

For whatever reason Resetera has an abnormally high concentration of people who can't play first person games.

I would be interested to see the gender split there actually. Era likely has a somewhat larger concentration of women and fem nb users than a typical general gaming forum or subreddit, and those populations are more susceptible to suffering from motion sickness, migraines, and photophobia. Within that group you'll also find more enthusiasts of genres like RPGs and horror, so they are more likely to be vocally disappointed about this than when fps #233 is announced.

BTW, Rinoa is such a horror fan that she seems to forget that most celebrated horror games in the past decade have been first person adventure games.
