Give yer dog a pat on the head from me. He sounds like a real trooper.
Yay:
+ Business is booming
+ My skin is completely fixed
+ WE ARE SO BACK
Nay:
- Aunt died
- One of my bros is depressed
- AAAA gaming
Gay:
~ I'm back in the dating game, which is now gacha apps, travel diaries and instagram photoshoots. (no homo)
Also I need to be funny, emotionally mature(?), have a steady job but willing to travel the world in a camper van and care about palestine because that's what they think the watermelon emoji stands for
nice try ....owner of forum whos name I can't remember right now.
Nay:
SAD hitting me in the balls right now despite vitamin-d-maxing
Yay:
+ Quit lexapro cold turkey without too many problems. (quit Lorazepam cold turkey years back, which was way way worse. Wanted to kill myself on the fourth day with that one.)
+ Got a job, kept a job.
+ Doing well financially because of it. About to pay off my student loans this year.
Nay:
- Nothing really.
Gay:
~ The gaming industry
Guess who doesn't need to take gabapentin anymore?
Ending the year taking one less medication is a Yay at my age.
yay: - got a job, kept the job, despite numerous hurdles
- managed to save a little money
- read more books than the previous year
- celebrated first year of not drinking
nay: - mom died in april; thought we'd have another decade with her, but alcoholism fucking sucks
- game dev is a shitshow right now, with the Embracer bullshit still sending waves of fecal matter around the entire dev ecosphere. Ubisoft closed their Osaka office despite the ¥ being at a 40+ year low, meaning already low Japan salaries are even cheaper atm; how the hell does closing Osaka dev make a single iota of sense?
- man, how the fuck did America re-elect Trump? Not just some bullshit flyover state Electoral College win, but an actual popular vote majority? How do Americans have such insane ignorance of their own position in the world?
gay: - really happy to see more gay and bi characters in modern media, without making that the central or single aspect of their personality

yay: - got married
- navigated a care-post worthy kid situation
- got really back to into reading
- enrolled in college (as an old ass man) for a very stupid but very exciting career change
nay: - aforementioned kid situation has totally retarded (heh) my debt trajectory
- Feeling myself become slowly become republican? I mean I can't imagine I'd ever vote for those fucks, but at least they...do stuff? Be silly and say naughty things? Democrats are gay AF these days...wokescold bean counters with negative charisma.
gay: - not being able to bang random women anymore (WIVES, AMIRITE FELLAS?)

I get paid in USD, so selfishly I should be happy about the favorable exchange rate. But it sucks. I’ve seen a number of places shut down. Friends who don’t have the same opportunities struggling. And to loop back around to selfishness, the over tourism is terrible. There was a brief moment in the summer where yen seemed to get stronger. But it sunk back down to weak recently.
